Commercial Trampoline Safety Requirements

In order to ensure that you conform with the appropriate EU Safety Standards and that the trampoline is used safely, we will guide you through:

•  Commercial Trampoline Standards EN1176, 913 and 31219.
•  Safe Zones and Surfacing – EN1176/1177
•  Safety Signage - So that all users know the rules!
•  In-house care and maintenance of the trampoline
•  Annual Safety Checks carried out by Capital Play
•  Risk assessments
•  Supervised or unsupervised?
•  Staff Training ( if required)

Trampoline Safety Signage

We can advise on, design and supply safety signage for your Capital Play commercial trampoline installation.

Signage is an important element in your commercial or schools trampoline installation project. It will vary hugely from one installation to the next and are usually bespoke depending on your requirements. For example a sign in a supervised special needs school will be very different to a sign for unsupervised play in a hotel play area.

Commercial Trampolines and Surfacing – The various standards

There are four different European standards that cover commercial trampolines and safety surfacing and our trampolines all conform to the relevant build quality standard. Not all trampoline installations need safety surfacing and safe zones, but we will advise you if you do and take you through your surfacing options and the costs involved.

In house care and maintenance

As with any piece of play equipment, it is a legal requirement that you check it on a regular basis. You may well already have such a check-list, but probably not for a trampoline and almost certainly not one that is relevant to your particular trampoline. So we will provide you with the relevant paperwork so that you can keep a written record of the care and maintenance programme that you have adopted. Should parts need replacing , we can certainly supply them and discuss with you whether you can install the part or whether we feel that we as the professionals should do so.

Annual Safety Checks

In addition to the regular care and maintenance that you carry out in-house, we would recommend that you ask Capital Play to carry out an annual safety check. During this check we will thoroughly check your trampoline over and advise you if we feel any parts need replacing. We would strongly advise that you use our Service as it will help to maintain your trampoline in safe working order and of course many insurers will insist upon it.

Risk Assessments

Most of our commercial customers are used to carrying out safety Risk Assessments and of course by their very nature, each customers Risk Assessment is unique. You will need to consider such factors as the physical location of the trampoline, the ages and abilities of the users, what supervision will the trampoline have, how does one restrict usage of the trampoline. We can happily provide you with a template Risk Assessment and this will allow you to produce your own unique assessment.

We understand there are many stages to making your commercial trampoline project happen. We have experience in working with local councils, schools and the leisure industry and will guide you through the process.
